Pentagon unveils new website for reporting (and learning about) UFOs

The Pentagon has opened up a new portal for professionals to submit reports about UFOs—now officially known as unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAPs—and for the rest of us to find out about the reports that have been released.

AARO.mil, the website for the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, is still a work in progress. For example, a promised online form for contacting the AARO is labeled as “Coming Soon.” But the version unveiled today offers eight videos showing UAPs, plus archives for congressional reports and briefings, press releases and links to other resources.

“The website will serve as a one-stop shop for all publicly available information related to AARO and UAP,” Air Force Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder, the Department of Defense’s press secretary, said today during a briefing.

Setting up the new website is just one sign that the UAP issue is gaining attention—and credibility—at the Pentagon. This week, DefenseScoop reported that Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks has taken on direct oversight of AARO and its director, Sean Kirkpatrick.

That move was aimed at speeding up AARO’s development and the website’s launch. “I believe that transparency is a critical component of AARO’s work, and I am committed to sharing AARO’s discoveries with Congress and the public, consistent with our responsibility to protect critical national defense and intelligence capabilities,” Hicks, who played a lead role in establishing AARO last year, told DefenseScoop.

When the website is fully ready for prime time, it will serve as the secure channel for current or former government employees, military personnel and contractors to register UAP reports. In a news release, the Defense Department said that the secure reporting tool will be launched this fall. “A mechanism for members of the general public to make reports will be announced in coming months,” the Pentagon said.

Civilian pilots were encouraged to report UAP sightings to air traffic controllers. AARO said it would receive UAP-related pilot reports, known as PIREPs, from the Federal Aviation Administration.

AARO lists three UAP categories:

• Airborne objects that are not immediately identifiable.
• Transmedium objects or devices.
• Submerged objects or devices that are not immediately identifiable and that display behavior or performance characteristics suggesting that the objects or devices may be related to objects or devices in the first two categories.

AARO says the Defense Department considers UAPs to be “sources of anomalous detections in one or more domains (i.e., airborne, seaborne, spaceborne and/or transmedium) that are not yet attributable to known actors and that demonstrate behaviors that are not readily understood by sensors or observers.”

The website doesn’t explicitly mention possible extraterrestrial origins for UAPs. One of the reasons why government officials and lawmakers are becoming more concerned about UAPs is because they may represent intrusions by the likes of Russia or China. A prime example would be the Chinese spy balloon that floated across the United States before it was shot down by an Air Force fighter jet.

Astronauts Off The Record

Major Gordon Cooper

One of the original Mercury Astronauts and the last American to fly in space alone. On May 15, 1963 he shot into space in a Mercury capsule for a 22 orbit journey around the world. During the final orbit, Major Gordon Cooper told the tracking station at Muchea (near Perth Australia) that he could see a glowing, greenish object ahead of him quickly approaching his capsule. The UFO was real and solid, because it was picked up by Muchea’s tracking radar.

Cooper’s sighting was reported by the National Broadcast Company, which was covering the flight step by step; but when Cooper landed, reporters were told that they would not be allowed to question him about the UFO sighting.

Major Cooper was a firm believer in UFOs. Ten years earlier, in 1951 he had sighted a UFO while piloting an F-86 Sabrejet over Western Germany. They were metallic, saucershaped discs at considerable altitude and could out-maneuver all American fighter planes.

Major Cooper also testified before the United Nations:

“I believe that these extra-terrestrial vehicles and their crews are visiting this planet from other planets… Most astronauts were reluctant to discuss UFOs.”

“I did have occasion in 1951 to have two days of observation of many flights of them, of different sizes, flying in fighter formation, generally from east to west over Europe.”

And according to a taped interview by J. L. Ferrando, Major Cooper said:

“For many years I have lived with a secret, in a secrecy imposed on all specialists in astronautics. I can now reveal that every day, in the USA, our radar instruments capture objects of form and composition unknown to us. And there are thousands of witness reports and a quantity of documents to prove this, but nobody wants to make them public.

Why? Because authority is afraid that people may think of God knows what kind of horrible invaders. So the password still is: We have to avoid panic by all means.”

“I was furthermore a witness to an extraordinary phenomenon, here on this planet Earth. It happened a few months ago in Florida. There I saw with my own eyes a defined area of ground being consumed by flames, with four indentions left by a flying object which had descended in the middle of a field. Beings had left the craft (there were other traces to prove this). They seemed to have studied topography, they had collected soil samples and, eventually, they returned to where they had come from, disappearing at enormous speed…I happen to know that authority did just about everything to keep this incident from the press and TV, in fear of a panicky reaction from the public.”

Ed White & James McDivitt

In June 1965, astronauts Ed White (first American to walk in space) and James McDivitt were passing over Hawaii in a Gemini spacecraft when they saw a weird-looking metallic object. The UFO had long arms sticking out of it. McDivitt took pictures with a cinecamera. Those pictures have never been released.

James Lovell and Frank Borman

In December 1965, Gemini astronauts James Lovell and Frank Borman also saw a UFO during their second orbit of their record-breaking 14 day flight. Borman reported that he saw an unidentified spacecraft some distance from their capsule. Gemini Control, at Cape Kennedy told him that he was seeing the final stage of their own Titan booster rocket. Borman confirmed that he could see the booster rocket all right, but that he could also see something completely different.

During James Lovell’s flight on Gemini 7:

Lovell: BOGEY AT 10 O’CLOCK HIGH.
Capcom: This is Houston. Say again 7.
Lovell: SAID WE HAVE A BOGEY AT 10 O’CLOCK HIGH.
Capcom: Gemini 7, is that the booster or is that an actual sighting?
Lovell: WE HAVE SEVERAL…ACTUAL SIGHTINGS.
Capcom: …Estimated distance or size?
Lovell: WE ALSO HAVE THE BOOSTER IN SIGHT…

Why don’t the aliens that fly UFOs prove they exist and show themselves?

The truth has been out there your entire life.  Why haven’t you found it?  This video explains why: jealousy.   Other UFO groups were jealous that they could not get their hands on the only good evidence out there.

The evidence continues.  The sightings continue.  The number of photographers multiply.  The contacts continue.  The information continues and is constantly corroborated.  So why doesn’t the majority of the UFO community talk about it?  Because they are jealous.   Let that sink in.   The biggest story in the last 2000 years, and the egotistical people in the UFO community are the ones covering it up and ridiculing it.
